WisDOT Rustic Road #124 traverses along Town Hall Road near Mount Horeb in Dane County. The road twists through hilly canopies of hardwood trees and descends into valleys and across winding trout streams. Located in the Driftless area, sandstone bluffs and outcrops, such as Donald Rock, show a rich geological history formed 450 million years ago, featuring huge sand dunes cementing into stone and then eroding as continental seas retreated.
