The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region will conduct a public involvement meeting to discuss the reconstruction of the Grotzke Road Bridge over Interstate 39/90/94 in the Town of Fort Winnebago, Columbia County.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 1, from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Portage High School commons area, 301 East Collins Street, Portage. The meeting will be an open house format with exhibits displaying the proposed work. The WisDOT representatives will be available to explain the proposed project, answer questions, and receive public input on the project.
The proposed project involves the removal and replacement of the Grotzke Road Bridge along with roadway approach work. The objective of this meeting is to share information about the proposed bridge, traffic impacts, construction staging, and the anticipated construction timeline.
The project is currently scheduled for 2024 with possible advancement.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting to provide input and ask questions concerning this project.
