New intersection design refinements at US 141/WIS 29 and US 141/County R to be discussed

(Brown County) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay announces a 2nd public involvement meeting to discuss proposed improvements on WIS 29 from US 141 in the town of Ledgeview to the east Brown County line in the town of Eaton. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 1, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bellevue Village Hall, 3100 Eaton Road, Green Bay, WI 54311. A brief presentation is scheduled for 5:10 p.m., with an open-house to follow.
The meeting is to update the public and seek comments on design refinements following a November 2016 public involvement meeting. The new alternative proposes to install stop signs to create all-way stops at the intersection of US 141/WIS 29 and the intersection of US 141/County R. The installation is planned for 2018, but could occur as early as 2017. Proposed pavement improvements on WIS 29 include resurfacing from US 141 to east Brown County line, replacing 15 pipe culverts crossing WIS 29, installing centerline rumble strips and new pavement markings and signing
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions. Maps and exhibits will be available for viewing. Project staff will be available to discuss the project and address any questions or concerns.
