Construction scope, schedule and traffic impacts to be discussed

(Two Rivers) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a public construction update meeting to discuss reconstruction of WIS 42 (Lincoln Avenue) from 22nd Street to 35th Place in the city of Two Rivers, Manitowoc County. The meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Two Rivers City Hall Council Chambers, 1717 East Park Street, Two Rivers. A short presentation will begin at 5:15 p.m., followed by an open-house. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-March and conclude in November of this year.
The WIS 42 project in downtown Two Rivers is an urban reconstruct of the highway. This work includes grading, storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer, concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, signing, pavement marking and street lighting. WIS 42 between 22nd Street and 35th Place will be closed and detoured during construction. Access will be maintained for properties located in the work zone.
The purpose of this meeting is to familiarize the public with construction details, project schedules and traffic impacts. Exhibits will be on display for review and comment. WisDOT project engineers and Two Rivers city representatives will be on hand to answer any questions.
