Highway work in village of Brandon slated for 2021

(Fond du Lac) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed improvements to WIS 49 in the village of Brandon from Clark Street to the west village limits. The meeting is scheduled to take place Thursday, March 9, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Brandon village hall, 115 N Center Street, Brandon. A short presentation will begin at 5:15 p.m., followed by an open-house.
The purpose of this meeting is to gather public comment regarding the proposed project details. This project is intended to address the deteriorating pavement conditions of approximately one mile of WIS 49 in Brandon. Proposed improvements include milling and resurfacing the driving lanes of WIS 49 and making accessibility improvements to the sidewalk curb ramps at permitted crosswalks.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide comment and ask questions. Maps and exhibits will be available for viewing. WisDOT engineers and staff will be available to answer questions on an individual basis and take any comments.
