Release Date: April 18, 2017
On Monday, April 24, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is scheduled to start a half-mile resurfacing project along WIS 164, from Woodland Lane to County ES (National Avenue), in Waukesha County.
The project will include base patching and mill and overlay, along with replacing curb and gutter, pavement marking and signing. The project will also replace loop detectors, devices that trigger traffic signal operations.
The impacts to traffic are anticipated to be minimal as a result of this project.
- No lane closures on I-43 over WIS 164 will take place.
- Some overnight closures of the freeway ramps connecting to WIS 164 will be required.
- No lane closures will take place on WIS 164 during peak times. During off-peak hours, single lane closures will be necessary, leaving one lane of traffic open in each direction.
The contractor Payne & Dolan, Inc. plans on completing the $573,000 project by late June. Please note that the schedule of work is weather dependent and subject to change.
