The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss the reconstruction of the westbound I-94 Interstate bridges over Newville Road and Rock Lake Road in Jefferson County. The meeting will be held Thursday, May 18, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Lake Mills Town Hall, 1111 S. Main Street, Lake Mills. A brief presentation will be made at 5:30 p.m.
The Department of Transportation is in the process of designing new structures on the westbound I-94 bridges over Newville Road and Rock Lake Road. The project will include the replacement of the westbound structures and the reconstruction of 600 feet of Newville and Rock Lake Roads.
The meeting will be an open house format. Staff from WisDOT will be available to answer questions and gather input on the project. Maps showing the preliminary design will be on display. Persons with a concern for or knowledge about historic buildings and structures and archaeological sites are encouraged to attend.
