Dedication ceremony for Trooper Casper memorial set for noon Saturday in Fond du Lac

Sent May 18, 2017

A memorial dedication ceremony is set for Saturday, May 20, at noon in Fond du Lac to honor Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper Trevor Casper who lost his life in the line of duty in March of 2015. The public and media are invited to attend. CBRE Asset Services and the Pick N Save Corporation are hosting Saturday’s event at the Trooper Trevor J. Casper Memorial Site located on the 100 block of N. Berger Parkway in Fond du Lac.

Last fall, Pick N Save in cooperation with the Wisconsin Troopers Association, organized a fundraiser for the memorial site. Numerous law enforcement officers spent time bagging groceries for customers at two Fond du Lac Pick N Save locations. Over the course of two weeks, over $10,000 was raised for the development of a memorial site near where Trooper Casper lost his life in a confrontation with an armed robbery and murder suspect. Since then, numerous individuals and businesses have worked toward the development and completion of a memorial bench and flower garden to honor Trooper Casper’s sacrifice.
