Release date: August 9, 2017
(Calumet County) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Northeast Region reminds motorists that a highway resurfacing and railroad crossing reconstruction project on WIS 32/57 from the village of Hilbert to the Calumet/Brown County line begins Monday, August 14. The $1,577,284 project is scheduled to finish by mid-September, 2017.
The improvement project consists of resurfacing 6.8 miles of WIS 32/57 in the project area. Centerline rumble strips, new signing, and new pavement markings will be installed as part of the project. The deteriorating railroad crossings north of Hilbert will also be reconstructed to provide a smoother driving surface.
WIS 32/57 Project traffic impacts:

- The detour route will follow County Road PP and US 10.
- During resurfacing on WIS 32/57, traffic will be maintained using flagging operations.
Construction details for this project will be provided weekly on the Northeast Region Weekly Highway Construction Update website. Construction updates will begin the first week of construction.
Please slow down and never drive distracted in this and all highway construction work zones.
