Highway 16 improvements begin Monday, Monroe County

Road will remain open during construction

Work is scheduled to begin Monday (August 14) on Highway 16 between Sparta and Tomah in Monroe County. Highway 16 will remain open to traffic with daytime flagging operations. Access will be maintained to property and business owners.

The project will resurface 6.8 miles of roadway and widen shoulders between Hazel West Road and Hollister Avenue. The project is expected to be completed September 7.
