WIS 32 culvert project begins August 21 in Oconto County

​Traffic impacts include flagging operations and temporary traffic signals

(Oconto County) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Northeast Region announces culvert work will take place on WIS 32, from the north junction of WIS 32/WIS 64 in Mountain to the north Oconto County line in Oconto County, beginning Monday, August 21, 2017. The 15-working day contract is schedule to finish Friday, September 8. WIS 32 will remain open during culvert work.

Musson Brothers of Rhinelander, Wis. is the Prime Contractor.

The $314,156 project is intended to address aging drainage facilitates along this portion of WIS 32. Five existing culverts will be lined to extend the life of the culvert. During culvert lining, traffic will be maintained using flagging operations. 

One new culvert crossing will be installed at Mosquito Creek in the town of Townsend. The new culvert installation will restore the historic drainage pattern of Mosquito Creek. During installation of the new culvert crossing, traffic will be maintained using temporary traffic signals at Mosquito Creek. Brief travel delays should be expected during the project.

Construction details for this project will be provided weekly on the Northeast Region Weekly Highway Construction Update website. Construction updates will begin the first week of construction.
