Highway will remain open; delays expected

Highway 16 maintenance work is scheduled Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 11-12) in Monroe County. Maintenance crews will seal coat both lanes of the highway beginning just east of the I-90 interchange near Sparta to the west intersection of Hazel Avenue in the Fort McCoy area.
Work is planned between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The road will remain open to through traffic using flaggers and a pilot vehicle to escort drivers through the work zone. Delays are expected.
The scheduled work is weather dependent.
