Public meeting set for Ogden Street Bridge project in city of Marinette/Menominee

​Meeting to discuss painting operations, machinery upgrades, traffic impacts

(Marinette) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a public meeting to discuss structural painting and machinery upgrades this winter at the Ogden Street Bridge in the city of Marinette, Wisconsin and Menominee, Michigan. The public meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Spies Library, 940 First Street, in Menominee, Michigan. A brief project presentation will be held at 4:15 p.m., followed by an open-house meeting format.

The purpose of the project is to provide necessary maintenance to extend the life of the bridge. The painting and machinery upgrades will begin after the shipping season ends. The project is expected to start January 2 next year and conclude by March 31, 2018. Vehicle traffic will be detoured during all work.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about the painting and machinery upgrades and provide input. Project information will be on display. WisDOT staff will be available to discuss the project on a one-on-one basis, answer questions or address concerns.
