The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed improvements to WIS 52 between Elm Road and US 45 in Marathon and Shawano counties.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 20, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Hewitt Town Hall, H12399 County Highway Q, Wausau.

The objective of the meeting is to discuss the preferred design alternative, which was chosen based on the identified roadway needs, cost, and input received through public outreach. Information about the project is available at http://wisconsindot.gov/Pages/projects/by-region/nc/wis52/default.aspx

Construction is currently scheduled for 2018, but could occur as early as 2017.
