The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed access controls for WIS 21 beginning 1,500 feet east of the intersection of County A (two miles northeast of the city of Sparta) and extending easterly twenty-two miles to the Monroe/Juneau County line. The portion of WIS 21 within the Tomah city limits is excluded.
The meeting is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, at the La Grange Town Hall, 22731 Flint Avenue, Tomah.
WisDOT’s goal is to accommodate the current use of the land along the roadway and preserve existing access while accommodating future development by working closely with the communities adjacent to WIS 21. There is no construction activity associated with this access control project.
Maps and exhibits showing the proposed access controls will be available for review. Adjacent property owners are encouraged to attend the meeting. This project is located in the towns of Byron, La Grange, Greenfield, Lafayette, Angelo, the Fort McCoy Military Reservation, and the village of Wyeville.
The meeting will be an open house format with WisDOT staff available to explain the project and answer questions.
If you cannot attend the meeting or have questions regarding the access control project now or during development, please call Wendy Braun, WisDOT Southwest Region Project Manager, (608) 246-3837, or e mail firstname.lastname@example.org; or Terry Genske, Strand Associates Inc.©, (608) 251-4843 or e-mail email@example.com.
