Multi-lane roundabout plans complete

(Appleton) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region is announcing a public construction update meeting to discuss details of the upcoming improvements at the WIS 47 (Richmond Street) and County OO (Northland Avenue) intersection in the city of Appleton, Outagamie County. The meeting will be held on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, at the Appleton West High School auditorium, 610 North Badger Avenue, from 5 to 7 p.m. A short presentation will be made at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
The project includes:
- Reconstructing the intersection of WIS 47 and County OO to a multi-lane roundabout
- Adding right turn lanes on Mason Street at the County OO intersection
- Repaving County OO
- Upgrading traffic signals at the County OO intersections with Mason Street, West Service Road and Bennett Street
Final project plans have been completed, and preparations are being made for 2017 construction. The public is encouraged to attend the construction update to learn more about the improvements, schedule and traffic impacts. Maps, displays and exhibits will be available for review. WisDOT engineers will be on hand to answer questions.
