Administrative overview for researchers

The Researcher information packet for the Wisconsin Highway Research Program covers project administration activities like invoicing, submitting quarterly reports, requesting no-cost time extensions and delivering the final report.

Quarterly reporting requirements

Principal investigators should email quarterly reports to the WisDOT Research mailbox in Microsoft Word format. Please refer to page 3 of the Researcher Information Packet for specific details. WisDOT will not pay invoices for projects that do not have corresponding quarterly reports.

No-cost time extensions
(*For projects started after October 1, 2015, the process for an end date extension will be different from the NCTE process. Please contact the WisDOT Contracts Specialist for information.)

Principal investigators must initiate requests for no-cost time extensions by submitting the no-cost time extension form (NCTE) to the WHRP Contract Specialist no later 60 days prior to the contract end date. See the NCTE form below and WHRP’s NCTE policy in the researcher information packet:
