This is Real Estate's "go to" page and launch site for our consultants. We've organized key tools into one place, making it easier for our consultants to find the applications and materials needed most often in carrying out right of way acquisitions and eminent domain real estate actions as may be part of any highway improvement project.
Mission
To provide customer focused real estate leadership and guidance in support of division and department goals for a quality statewide transportation system.
Role
- Our primary job is to acquire real property as necessary for the construction of transportation facilities. We provide relocation assistance to people and businesses displaced by highway improvement projects; and, we work to sell or lease any property deemed as surplus to our needs.
- We carry out these activities as a decentralized (regional) organization, with Real Estate staff and consultants working under contract for us located in each of our regional offices.
