I-894/US 45/I-43 from National Avenue to 84th Street, West Allis, Milwaukee and Greenfield, Milwaukee County.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is planning to resurface I-894 from National Avenue to 84th Street. The original freeway was built in the 1960s and the last rehabilitation project took place in 2003. The pavement in this area needs resurfacing.
The shoulders will be reconstructed and the existing driving lanes will be resurfaced. As part of the resurfacing, WisDOT is restriping the pavement to add a fourth lane to reduce congestion and improve the transition of traffic into and out of the Zoo Interchange.
