US 61 (Bell Ridge Road to US 14/61 Intersection), Bell Center to Readstown, Crawford and Vernon counties

Project overview

WisDOT is developing final plans to improve 11.3 miles of US 61, beginning 200 feet north of Bell Ridge Road and continuing north to the US 14/61 intersection in Readstown.

  • The asphalt pavement and guard rail will be replaced.
  • The shoulder will be paved to a typical width of 6 feet.

Schedule

  • The project design will be completed in 2017.
  • Construction is anticipated spring to fall 2018.

Traffic impacts/detours

This project will be constructed under traffic. Roadway flagging operations will control traffic throughout the construction process. Access to businesses and residences along the project route will be maintained except for limited periods of time during underground utility relocations and driveway improvements.
