WIS 130 (Wisconsin River Bridge), WIS 23 – Lone Rock, Richland County
This is an interim rehabilitation project for the bridge structure while replacement options are studied.
This overhead truss structure spans the North Channel of the Wisconsin River south of Lone Rock on WIS 130 along the border of Richland and Sauk Counties.
The proposed project will consist of strengthening floor beam connections, painting areas of repair, and painting overhead truss members of the structure. Work would be confined to the structure with the exception of steel beam installations to replace the guardrail connections at the four corners of the structure.
- July - August 2018 - Construction scheduled
Due to the restrictive nature of the overhead truss structure, WIS 130 will be closed during construction to make room for project operations and traffic will be detoured. The detour route will utilize WIS 23 just north of ZZ across the Wisconsin River to Spring Green, US 14 to WIS 130 on the north end of Lone Rock. A secondary detour route will take WIS 80 traffic to Muscoda on WIS 133/WIS 80, WIS 80 across the Wisconsin River to WIS 60 to WIS 130 on the north end of Lone Rock.
