Here are some rules to follow to stay safe when crossing the street:

Stop sign or a street without any signs:

  1. Stop a little back from the edge of the street
  2. Look left, then right, then left again to make sure the street is clear
  3. Walk across the street
  4. Make sure that you are always watching for cars as you cross

Street light:

  1. If there is a red hand, stop a little back from the edge of the street
  2. Wait until the street light changes to a white crossing signal
  3. Walk across the street
