The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed improvements to WIS 101, between West Oneonta Lane and Woods Creek Road, Florence County.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Fence Town Hall, 588 Memory Lane, Fence, Wisconsin. The meeting will follow an open house format.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the purpose and need for the project, proposed traffic impacts and to obtain feedback on proposed improvements. The proposed improvements include:
• Roadway resurfacing
• Removal of cable guard and replace with beam guard
• Cattle pass removal
• Culvert replacement
• Installation of centerline rumble strips
• Pavement marking restoration
• Thermoplastic snowmobile crossing installation
Construction is currently scheduled to begin in spring 2021.
Adjacent property and business owners are encouraged to attend the meeting. The meeting facility is wheelchair accessible.
