Meeting will provide project information and encourage community feedback

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss replacing the WIS 64 bridge over Hay Creek between Gilman and Medford in Taylor County. The meeting is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Community Room in the Village of Gilman located at 380 E. Main St.
The meeting will be an informal open house format. Exhibits showing the plan concepts will be on display. Project representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
This project includes:
- Removing the existing bridge over Hay Creek and constructing a new bridge
- Reconstruction of the approach roadway
- Closing WIS 64 during construction and detouring traffic
This project is expected to take place during the 2022 construction season but may be as early as 2020 if funding becomes available. Traffic on WIS 64 will be detoured during construction.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning the project. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
