WIS 29 design project website is now available to view proposed improvements on WIS 29 between the west county line and County J in the towns of Pittsfield and Oneida and the villages of Howard and Hobart, Brown County, Wisconsin.
This is a resurfacing-level improvement that includes a mill and overlay of mainline WIS 29 and ramps at WIS 29/WIS 32, replacement of various guardrail, curb ramps, culverts and pavement markings. Shoulder rumble strips will be added at various locations. Construction is scheduled for 2028 but could be advanced to as early as 2024. WIS 29 will remain open during construction. Traffic impacts included lane closures and short-term closures of ramps at the WIS 29/WIS 32 interchange.
The website includes maps of the project limits and location, proposed scope and schedule, possible traffic impacts, displays, exhibits, temporary business signing information for businesses in the work zone, a downloadable project information handout, and various methods for the public to provide comment.
