Release date: January 29, 2019
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is seeking public input on the updated project listing tables in the Wisconsin Rail Plan 2030. The draft tables include long distance and commuter passenger rail projects and studies, freight rail projects and studies, and rail-highway crossings projects. No other changes to the plan are proposed as part of this update.
The draft revised tables bring the plan up to date on:
- known project and studies currently state or federally funded,
- projects anticipated to be requesting state or federal funding in the next four years, and
- planned studies using state or federal funds.
The draft project listing tables do not reflect major or substantial changes to WisDOT’s policies. As a result, WisDOT has determined that no system plan environmental evaluation (SEE) is necessary with this plan update process.
