Meeting to present proposed improvement alternatives

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region office in La Crosse will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss the proposed improvements for the reconstruction of WIS 35 and US 14/61 in La Crosse County. The meeting is scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, in the Gymnasium at the Southern Bluffs Elementary School, 4010 Sunnyside Drive, La Crosse. A brief presentation will be given at approximately 5:40 p.m.
Project improvements concepts include reconstructing WIS 35 between the La Crosse County Line and Garner Place, and reconstructing US 14/61 between WIS 35 and 1000’ northeast of Fireclay Court. Construction is currently scheduled for 2022 on the northern segment of the project and a date still to be determined on the southern segment. The project will be constructed in stages while remaining open to traffic.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
