15-mile project to resurface roadway and ramps begins next month

(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces an I-43 construction project website is now available to view upcoming work and traffic impacts on I-43 between WIS 310 in Manitowoc County to WIS 96 in Brown County. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin March 7, 2022.
Included on the website is information to join a construction public update meeting on Wednesday, March 2 at 4:30 p.m. This is an online meeting via Microsoft Teams. Project staff will share maps, displays, exhibits and information for businesses in the work zone. To join the meeting:

- Participants can access the live meeting via computer browser or mobile device by clinking on the “Go to Meeting” link on the I-43 construction website at the time of the meeting.
- There is also an option to join the virtual meeting via audio-only with a conference call phone number on the website.
The I-43 project will resurface the roadway and various ramps in the project work zone. Numerous ramp closures will occur. I-43 will remain open with single lane closures. The project will also close the WIS 96 bridge over I-43 for a two-month deck overlay.
The website includes maps of the project limits and location, scope and schedule, traffic impacts, displays and exhibits, and temporary business signing information.
