I-39 bridge resurfacing project in Plover scheduled to resume March 14

Work to resurface bridges on I-39 over Portage County B and Wisconsin Central Railroad in Plover is scheduled to resume on Monday, March 14.

Other improvements include:
  • Guardrail replacements and extension of the merge area on the I-39 northbound on ramp.
  • Traffic signal enhancements, pavement repairs, and over-height bridge detection enhancements on County B.

Starting Monday, motorists can expect to encounter:

  • A single, inside lane closure on northbound and southbound I-39 bridges over County B and over the railroad tracks approximately .2 miles to the north of County B.
In addition, motorists can expect to encounter a single lane closure on eastbound and westbound County B with a single lane open in each direction starting Monday, April 4.

Construction is currently scheduled for completion in June 2022. The construction schedule is based on favorable weather conditions and construction status.
