Roadway reconstruction begins in April

(Kaukauna) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a public construction update meeting to discuss 2020 construction on WIS 96 (Green Bay Road) in the city of Kaukauna. The meeting will be held Monday, March 16 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Kaukauna Community Center, 207 Reaume Avenue, in Kaukauna.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with construction information. The project contractor and WisDOT staff will review project details, discuss construction staging and traffic impacts, and provide access information for properties in the project work zone. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting to discuss construction and ask questions.

WIS 96 urban reconstruction will take place between Lawe Street and Claribel Street in Kaukauna. Work includes concrete pavement removal and replacement, sidewalk, storm sewer, curb and gutter. Construction is slated to begin in early April and finish in August 2020. The highway will be closed and detoured. For more information, please visit the WIS 96 project website.
