Public involvement meeting scheduled for WIS 117 in Shawano

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed improvements to WIS 117, from Express Way to Mutzy Lane, in the village of Bonduel.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 23, 2020, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Bonduel Village Hall, 117 West Green Bay Street, Bonduel, Wisconsin, 54107. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m. The remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format. The objective of this meeting is to gather input on proposed roadway design and traffic management.


The existing roadway structure has severe transverse and longitudinal cracking and is past its useful life. Rehabilitation of the roadway structure is needed to keep motorists traveling along WIS 117 on a safe route. Construction is currently scheduled for 2024.

Adjacent property and business owners are encouraged to attend the meeting. The meeting facility is wheelchair accessible. Deaf or hard of hearing persons needing assistance should contact the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay system (dial 711).
