The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to WIS 170 from Glenwood City to Boyceville in St. Croix and Dunn Counties.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Glenwood City High School, 850 Maple Street, Glenwood City.  The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.

This project involves the rehabilitation of pavement on WIS 170 beginning at the intersection of Oak Street in Glenwood City and continuing through Downing and Boyceville.  The end of the project is just east of the intersection of WIS 170 and WIS 79 in Boyceville.  The length of the project is approximately 7.5 miles.

In addition to the pavement rehabilitation, the project also includes repairs to the deck surface on the bridge carrying WIS 170 over Tiffany Creek, replacement of deficient roadside guardrail, replacement or repair of existing pipe culverts, addition of traffic signals at the WIS 79 (northbound) intersection in Boyceville, and upgrades to substandard sidewalk curb ramps in Glenwood City, Downing, and Boyceville.

WisDOT representatives will present information regarding the identified needs for this project on WIS 170 and discuss the proposed improvements that will address the purpose and need for the project.

Construction is currently scheduled for 2021.
