Public construction meeting scheduled for WIS 23 work in Sheboygan County

Meeting to focus on 2019 Sheboygan County construction

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a public construction update meeting to discuss upcoming work on WIS 23 from County Road P to the Sheboygan/Fond du Lac County line. The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. at the Sheboygan County Transportation Facility, W5741 County J in Plymouth.

Construction on WIS 23 in 2019 includes earthwork and structures for the WIS 23 expansion project in Sheboygan County. This is the first in a series of construction projects in the upcoming years that will expand WIS 23 from two to four lanes from County P in Sheboygan County westward to US 151 in Fond du Lac County. Construction is expected to begin later this month.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the property owners in the work zone and the public with construction information related to the Sheboygan County portion of the WIS 23 expansion project. The project contractor and WisDOT staff will review project details, discuss construction staging and traffic impacts, and provide access information for properties in the project work zone
