Governor Evers approves WIS 32/WIS 165 construction project

To invest in Wisconsin's transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $1.05 million contract to make intersection improvements and to resurface the roadway in Racine County. Work is scheduled to begin May 31st, weather permitting. The project will wrap up in early September 2022. James Peterson and Sons is the prime contractor for the project and will implement the following:

Project Improvements:​

  • Install new traffic signals
  • Mill and replace existing pavement
  • New striping
  • Add dedicated turn lanes on WIS 32 and WIS 165
  • Improve intersection geometry

Work will be done under a full closure with local access only. Work is expected to begin after the Holiday weekend and is scheduled to be completed prior to Labor Day, weather permitting. Posted detours will utilize WIS 31, WIS 159 and Russell Road.
