To invest in Wisconsin's transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $1.5 million contract to diamond grind WIS 57 in Ozaukee County. Work is scheduled to begin June 6, 2022, weather permitting. The diamond grind project will wrap up July 18, 2022. Payne and Dolan, Inc. is the prime contractor for the project and will implement the following:
- Project Improvements
- Diamond grinding the existing concrete pavement
- Base patching
- Shoulder improvements
- Replacement of beam guards
- Median crossovers repairs
Work will be done under a full closure. WIS 57 southbound detour will follow County W to WIS 33, then WIS 33 to I-43 southbound on ramp. WIS 57 northbound detour will follow WIS 33, County W, then N to WIS 57.
Construction is currently scheduled to begin June 6, 2022 and be completed by July 18, 2022. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
