Work includes resurfacing highway between
Oneida County line and WIS 70
Release date: May 24, 2022
To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation
system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $2.44 million contract with prime
contractor Pitlik & Wick Inc. of Eagle River for a resurfacing project on US
45 between the Oneida County line and WIS 70 in Eagle River. Construction is
scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 31.
The
Wisconsin Department of Transportation project will replace culvert pipes and resurface
the highway.
During
construction, US 45 will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter a
gravel roadway and lane closures controlled by flagging.
Construction
is scheduled for completion in July. The construction schedule is based on
favorable weather conditions and construction status.
