I-41 construction project complete in Outagamie County

​Project finishes on time and under budget​

(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces completion of all construction to improve 12.37 miles of I-41 between WIS 15 in the town of Grand Chute and County J in the city of Kaukauna. Crews finished final project clean up and removed traffic control devices on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. The $3.33 million project began April 10, 2022 and finishes on time and approximately 1.3 percent under budget.

Project Improvements
The preservation-level improvement project included cleaning and sealing I-41 mainline and interchange ramp pavement cracks and joints, asphalt repair mastic, concrete pavement repair, asphalt shoulder paving and pavement marking. Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, Inc. from Plover, Wis. was the Prime Contractor.

Project Benefits
The work completed on I-41 will extend pavement life, provide a smoother ride for motorists, and reduce maintenance costs on I-41 until work begins on the I-41 Expansion Project. Please see the I-41 Preservation Project construction website​ for more information.
