Governor Evers approves Lincoln County bridge replacement project

Two-cell box culvert will replace WIS 107 bridge over Little Pine Creek

Release date: June 9, 2022

To invest in Wisconsin's transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $593,755 contract with prime contractor Larson Construction Co. of Chippewa Falls for an improvement project on WIS 107 at Little Pine Creek between Dotter and Hillcrest roads in the Lincoln County town of Bradley. Construction is scheduled to start the week of June 13.

Built in 1985, the existing bridge has reached the end of its service life. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation project will:

  • Remove the existing bridge and replace it with a two-cell concrete box culvert.
  • Backfill the area around the culvert.
  • Repave the road.
  • Replace guardrail.

During construction, WIS 107 will be closed, and traffic will be detoured via County J, US 51 and County S. The closure and detour are scheduled to begin Wednesday, June 15.

Construction is scheduled for completion by September. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather and construction progress.
