Governor Evers approves WIS 13 resurfacing project in Price County

Project begins in Park Falls and continues north to Ashland County line

Release date: June 29, 2022

To invest in Wisconsin's transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $808,979 contract with prime contractor American Asphalt of Wisconsin of Mosinee for a resurfacing project on WIS 13 in Price County from 5th Street North in Park Falls north to the Ashland County line. Construction is scheduled to start Friday, July 8.

This segment of WIS 13 is showing signs of distress. To address this, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation project will:

  • Remove a portion of the existing asphalt pavement and place new asphalt.
  • Place new pavement markings.

WIS 13 will remain open to traffic, but motorists can expect daytime single-lane closures controlled by flagging.

Construction is scheduled for completion in August. The schedule is weather dependent.
