Camp 14 Road local project in Shawano County scheduled to begin July 12

Release date: June 30, 2021

Work to pave 3-foot shoulders on Camp 14 Road between Shawano County A and Reservation Highway 21 in town of Bartelme is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 12. Other improvements include new guardrail, shoulder rumble strips, pavement markings, and traffic signs.

American Asphalt of Wisconsin was awarded the $398,345 contract.

Motorists can expect to encounter a single lane closure with flagging operations. Crews will start with setting up traffic control, erosion control, and guardrail removal. After shaping the shoulders, crews plan to take a week to pave them. Once paving is done, crews will install gravel, new guardrail, pavement markings, and signs.

Construction is currently scheduled for completion at the end of July 2021. The construction schedule is based on favorable weather conditions and construction status.
