Work includes resurfacing highway, repairing or replacing culverts and upgrading curb ramps
Release date: July 21, 2022
To invest in Wisconsin's transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $2.99 million contract with prime contractor Northeast Asphalt, Inc. of Greenville for a resurfacing project in Green Lake and Marquette counties on WIS 73 from the Fox River Bridge in Princeton to the White River Bridge in Neshkoro. Construction is scheduled to start Monday, July 25.
WIS 73 is showing signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation project will:
- Remove a portion of the existing roadway pavement and place new asphalt pavement.
- Repairing or replacing culverts and guardrail.
- Upgrading sidewalk curb ramps to Americas With Disabilities Act standards in Princeton and Neshkoro.
During construction, WIS 73 will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter single-lane closures controlled by flagging operations between Princeton and Neshkoro and shoulder closures in Princeton and Neshkoro. Construction is scheduled for completion in mid-October.
