(Fond du Lac County) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a public involvement meeting for WIS 23 expansion in the urban portion of the project limits in Fond du Lac County. The meeting will be held Monday, August 19, 2019, 5 – 7 p.m., UW-Fond du Lac University Center, rooms 113/114, 400 University Drive, Fond du Lac, Wis. There will be a short presentation at the beginning of the meeting, followed by an open-house meeting format.

The WIS 23 project improvements in Fond du Lac County consist of expanding WIS 23 to a four-lane, median divided facility from US 151 to Seven Hills Road. The expansion will consist of grading, paving, interchanges at County K and County UU, a roundabout at Wisconsin-American Drive, and various local connection roads.  The project is currently scheduled for construction in 2021 and 2022.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting to review project design details, displays and exhibits, ask questions, and provide comment that may assist WisDOT during project design. WisDOT staff will also be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.

This meeting pertains to the WIS 23 expansion project in the urban section of Fond du Lac County from US 151 to Seven Hills Road. WIS 23 Sheboygan County construction elements and WIS 23 design elements in the rural portion of Fond du Lac County (located between the Fond du Lac/Sheboygan County line to Seven Hills Road) will not be discussed at this meeting.
