Release date: August 11, 2022
A segment of WIS 32 between Crandon in Forest County and the Oneida County town of Three Lakes will be closed to traffic at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15 for the replacement of the Scott Creek culvert.
The closure is expected to be in place through Tuesday, Aug. 30. Traffic will be detoured via US 8 and US 45.
The culvert work is part of an improvement project replacing seven culverts in Forest County and two in Oneida County and placing a new culvert in Oneida County.
During construction, WIS 32 will be closed for the replacement of three culvert pipes – one at Scott Creek, one at Pine Creek and one at Julia Creek. Work at Pine Creek currently is anticipated to begin Tuesday, Sept. 6, and construction at Julia Creek is expected to occur in May 2023 before Memorial Day. For the replacement of the six other culverts and installation of the new one, WIS 32 will remain open to traffic, but motorists can expect to encounter single-lane closures controlled by flagging.
Construction of all work except that at Julia Creek is scheduled for completion in late October.
