Public construction update meeting for WIS 23 work on west side of Fond du Lac County

​Resurfacing and intersection improvements begin next month

(Fond du Lac County) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a construction update meeting for WIS 23 improvements from Townline Road in the village of Rosendale to County VVV/Rolling Meadows Drive in the city of Fond du Lac. The meeting will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fond du Lac County Airport, N6308 Rolling Meadows Drive in Fond du Lac. There will be a short presentation at 5:10 p.m., followed by an open-house meeting format.

This project will resurface WIS 23 in the project limits and add a left-turn and right-turn lane at the intersection of WIS 23 and Esterbrook Drive. Slotted left-turn lanes will be added at the WIS 23/County VVV intersection along with new signal upgrades. Other improvements include culvert pipe replacement, shoulder widening, and concrete joint repair.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with construction information. Project staff will review project details, discuss construction staging and traffic impacts, and provide access information for properties in the project work zone. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting to view project exhibits and displays, discuss improvements with project staff and ask questions.
