Governor Evers approves roadway resurfacing along WIS 83 in Kenosha County

(Kenosha County) To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $598,700 contract to improve two miles of WIS 83 (Pine Street), between WIS 50 and County KD/JB. The contractor, Payne and Dolan, Inc. is expected to start work on Monday, September 9, and finish by the beginning of October 2019. This schedule is weather dependent and subject to change. ​

​Project Improvements

  • ​​Resurfacing two miles of roadway
  • Traffic signal modifications at the intersection of WIS 83/ WIS 50
  • Signing updates
  • Installation of reflective backplates to traffic signal heads

​Traffic Impacts

​​​Bi-directional traffic will be maintained in a single open lane controlled via the use of flaggers.
