Release date: October 6, 2022
The state of Wisconsin revoked the motor vehicle retail dealer license for Vince Auto Group LLC, located at 101 Skyline Dr. #1 in Arlington, for failing to properly follow administrative requirements.
The order, issued by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), determined that Vince Auto Group violated state laws when they sold motor vehicles to retail customers. Wisconsin’s wholesale dealers can only sell, offer or negotiate sales of used motor vehicles to licensed dealers only. They cannot sell directly to the public.
Due to the nature of the violations, the department took action to immediately to revoke the license of Vince Auto Group per Wis. Stat. §218.0116(4)(am)2. The revocation was effective July 6, 2022. In cases where there is an immediate revocation, dealers automatically receive a hearing without the need to appeal the decision. The decision was upheld during a WisDOT hearing on September 2, 2022. Dealers are given 30 days to appeal a revocation to the state Division of Hearing and Appeals. Vince Auto Group did not appeal and the decision is final.
WisDOT’s Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers.
