Release date: October 9, 2017
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public information meeting to discuss the upcoming resurfacing project on WIS 188 between WIS 60 and the Merrimac Ferry landing.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24, from 5-7 p.m. at the West Point Town Hall, N2114 Rausch Road, Lodi. The meeting will familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project, discuss the project design concept and gather input.
The project is designed to address the deteriorated pavement condition. The project will mill and replace the existing asphaltic surface. A safety edge will be paved to increase safety and decrease the severity of run-off-road incidents. Signing and pavement marking will also be upgraded to current standards. Right-of-way acquisition is not expected and wetlands will not be impacted. This work will be performed under a road closure with a detour. Construction is scheduled for fall 2018.
Adjacent property owners are encouraged to attend the meeting. If unable to attend or for more information contact Lalitha Balachandran, Project Manager, at (608) 243-3382, or by email at email@example.com.
