Crews will return in spring 2023 to install permanent concrete surface

The railroad crossing on WIS 173 (Market Street) in Nekoosa is expected to open Friday (Oct. 14). A temporary asphalt surface will be installed to allow traffic to cross the tracks during the winter months.
Crews will return spring 2023 to install a permanent concrete surface for the railroad crossing. Market Street is anticipated to close in the spring for approximately two weeks. Traffic will be detoured via WIS 80 and WIS 54.
