WIS 32 construction complete in Oconto County

Roadway resurfacing finishes on time and on budget

(Oconto County) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces completion of all major construction to improve 14.2 miles of WIS 32 from South Chase Road in the village of Pulaski to WIS 22 in the town of Gillett. The $8.6 million project began July 26, 2021 and finishes on time and on budget.

Construction included resurfacing of WIS 32, applying a polyester polymer concrete overlay to the Pensaukee River bridge, culvert pipe replacement/repairs, shoulder shaping, beamguard upgrades or repair, pavement markings, and centerline and shoulder rumble strips. Northeast Asphalt, Inc. of Greenville, Wis. was the Prime Contractor.

Roadway resurfacing will extend to life of the existing pavement and provided a smoother driving surface for motorists. New centerline/shoulder rumble strips and beamguard will enhance safety for the traveling public. Culvert improvements will help drainage.
