WIS 67 construction complete in Sheboygan and Manitowoc counties

(Plymouth) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces completion of all major construction to improve 11.5 miles of WIS 67 from Suhrke Road in Sheboygan County to WIS 32/57 in Manitowoc County. The $7.6 million project began May 24, 2021 and finishes on time in November 2021.

Work included highway resurfacing north of WIS 23, concrete replacement near the WIS 23/WIS 67 ramps, a concrete overlay of the Mullet River Bridge, and replacement of a large box culvert at Muehl Springs. Construction also included work on culvert pipes, storm sewer, sidewalk, curb ramps, beamguard, permanent signing, and pavement markings. Vinton Construction of Manitowoc, Wis. was the Prime Contractor.

The project provides a smoother driving surface on WIS 67 and reduces future maintenance costs for the highway. The work also extends the useable lifespan of the highway, bridge, and culverts. New beamguard, signing and pavement marking provides safety enhancements for motorists.
